N08, East Village

N08 East Village is situated in Stratford East London. A massive multi-use development as part of a partnership between Get Living and Qatari Dear Delancey built by Mace. It was one of the major developments that constituted the East Village development as part of the Stratford regeneration scheme in the Olympic village.

It is a mixed use development providing residential use on it's four tower blocks, a large open retail space beneath the podium on ground floor, and storage in a double storey basement below the site.

There were five towers rising to 32 storeys and a site wide basement car park with the earth supported by a 5m high secant piled wall. The two towers were built using an innovative rising factory which allowed each sub-unit of construction be involved at once and sequentially.

The primary stability system were reinforced concrete cores with vertical loads supported by reinforced concrete slabs supported on. RC columns and transfer walls acting as deep beams.
