Domestic Clients

Structural Engineers have a wide-ranging scope of expertise. Here at TPS Design, we specialise in buildings.

We focus on keeping building structures upright, stable and safe. This is a far-reaching scope and can include anything from the design of completely new buildings, extensions and renovations of existing buildings, or remedial works following structural damage such as cracking or subsidence.

Generally, a structural engineer is appointed by the property owner once an architectural design has been compiled. However, every project is different, and many don’t require an architect. So whatever stage your project is at, please get in touch and we can advise on how our structural expertise can aid your build project.

At TPS, all design work is completed and checked by Chartered Engineers and so you can be safe in the knowledge that your project is in expert hands.

We produce design drawings for contractors to build from, alongside a structural calculation package for submission to Building Control and other parties for approval.

If required, the design package can include Party Wall drawings for use in a Party Wall Agreement.

We can also provide structural survey reports associated with the purchase or sale of a property, most commonly where a building survey has recommended a Structural Engineer be consulted.

Commercial Clients

We work with architects, developers, project managers and contractors. Providing design, drawings, specifications, surveys or just some initial high-level advice.

We provide direct approach and holistic service. Whilst understanding our limitations as engineers we try to support the management of the project beyond a traditional one piece approach. We try to deliver the best solution and not just the easiest. It is our intention to always look into sustainable, clever designs which may innovate the concept, providing serious solutions which deliver economic and forward-thinking designs.

We pride ourselves on supporting developers and clients where we can with our knowledge of the industry as a whole. We deliver a personable and conflict free approach. By being a 'network' of engineers rather than a traditional practice we can expand to accommodate any project whilst being nimble enough to avoid the cost bloat that other companies may have.
